Circle of Care Health Centre is a new health facility and was finished April 15, 2005, at which time Health staff and Daycare/Head Start moved in. We are a stand-alone building with fourteen staff and four part-time staff from FHQ Tribal Council.

We provide health services and programs to Pasqua First Nation community members. There are trained, professionals within our health team.

We have a Community Health Nurse (C.H.N.) that is on site and does home visits, immunizations, wellness promotion programs, well baby clinic, parenting classes and education programs on diabetes, nutrient, exercise, heart, lung, etc. The Community Health Nurse provides explanations and counseling on health issues and medical conditions to clients’ or their families in order to ensure participation in the treatment and understanding of the results expected.

We have a Community Health Representative (C.H.R.) that provides a variety of health care services, specific as liaison to the community. Does home visits and reports any concerns from community members about health to Health Manager/C.H.N. Teaches community members about how to keep clean, safe water, how to increase their awareness of communicable diseases, their causes and the preventative measures to combat them. Health related improvements in the maintenance of their home and yard. Community Health Representative will provide information on other programs within the community and will help set up appointments.

We provide Home Care (in-home-worker) that visits individual people that cannot do their house cleaning, or need help with personal or need meals. The trained worker will clean the home, make meals, give baths, and do personal care but still let the individual be independent.

We have an Addictions Counsellor, that deals with alcohol, drugs, gambling, internet, and shopping. The expectations are for residential treatment programs we require six (6) visits in order to do a proper assessment to make a referral. A commitment that there will be a follow-up (aftercare) program once treatment is completed. The Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) meetings are held every Tuesday at the Ben Pasqua Band Hall from 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.

There is a Wellness Therapist on site who provides direct clinic counselling to community members and crisis services. There is also a support group that meets each Thursday of the week.

The Circle of Care provides other services:
